More than 2,500 Southwest Austin homes without power

Rolling black/brownouts and power failures are a sign of things to come as we peak energy production versus usage. Get used to it. 

Austin Energy officials said around 2,614 homes lost power in Southwest Austin about 8 p.m. The cause for the outage and the estimated restoration time have not been determined. Officials said the areas without power are roughly near Texas
