Mexican Movement for Peace with Justice and Dignity: End the War on Drugs

Narco News TV: Making Cable News Obsolete Since 2010: On March 28, 2012 the Mexican Movement for Peace with Justice and Dignity celebrated its first year of nonviolent action to end the drug war. There, poet Javier Sicilia called on the citizens of the United States to pressure their government to legalize drugs.

Makes sense to me, since the war on drugs is on people, since you can't wage war no inanimate objects. Violent crime and crime related to the drug trade has been increasing since the war began, but the State seems happy to promote a policy that has violence as a direct result. End the war on drugs and the drug cartel terrorists will no longer have a stranglehold on the trade trade. Legalize drugs, even tax and regulate them, and drug dealers will no longer corner the market and use violence to protect their trade.

The war on drugs promotes violence, but legalization is tantamount to promoting peace and nonviolence.
