Lawmakers wrangling over whether to legalize marijuana for medical use continued Tuesday to struggle with questions pertaining to federal enforcement, offering no indication that a legislative compromise might be in the works and likely leaving the issue up to voters to settle in November.
The debate over the merits of federal enforcement of prohibition does not even begin to address the fact that said prohibition is the root cause of most related social and economic issues related.
Until the State can wrap its head around that self-fulfilling paradigm, don't expect the war on drugs to be any closer to ending. And then there is the matter of wasting over a trillion taxpayer (a form of violence) dollars dollars on that proven failed effort, but why let reality and truth prevent the State from continuing its propaganda efforts, tilting at windmills...
