With the cost of food going up considerably - especially staple items like peanut butter, beans, rice and other basic food items - I'm seeing more and more coverage of bulk food storage in the shamestream media. Today I came across this human interest piece from an ABC affiliate in South Carolina focusing on food storage. Of course they didn't mention any of the primary reason for storing food, such as; emergency preparedness, survivalism, and social or economic collapse, but they did cite skyrocketing food prices and the fact that you can save up to 30% on your grocery bill by storing in bulk (which I guess is as good a reason as any).
