The Great Global Warming Swindle is a 2007 television documentary produced in the UK by WAGTV (a DVD of the program can be ordered from their store at www.wagtv.com). A companion website for the DVD, www.greatglobalwarmingswindle.com, also presents many of the scientific arguments.

Another lie is that the world's climate experts, even those on the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), agree that the evidence now supports the theory of man-made global warming.

I am not saying that I believe global warming is a hoax, but I do believe that many see our actions as having a greater impact than they actually do. While the planet is warming and ice caps are melting, we have a big head when we say that our actions have been the sole cause. The planet has been warming for much longer than we have been burning fossil fuels. Just because we learn to measure an event does not preclude that event from occurring in the time before we learned to measure it. The Earth's environment goes through warming and cooling cycles that are larger than we are able to quantify. We have an impact, but it is more on the quality of the air we breath and the water we drink, not on how warm the atmosphere is. Consider that natural water vapor is the most abundant greenhouse gas, accounting for more than 99% of total volume. It really puts things into perspective when you have hard facts instead of emotionally-driven tree-hugger testimonies. We need to make great strides in maintaining a clean and healthy ecosystem, but our efforts are best put to tasks where we can make effective changes, not dwelling on things that are out of our control.
