Milwaukee Jewish Federation Bans “Weapons and Guns”

Following "exhaustive research," the Milwaukee Jewish Federation's Executive Committee has mandated signs banning "weapons and firearms" at their properties. That's meshugga. Why would any religious group want to disarm its members, especially a faith with a history of terrorist attacks against its adherents? "Larry Gordon, president of Mt. Sinai Congregation in Wausau, said safety concerns were the 'main reason' his board decided to post the signs," jewishchronicle.org reports. "'Our synagogue is one where you have a large presence of children . . . We want to keep it safe — to avoid any possibility of an unintentional accident.'" Because a negligent discharge is a bigger worry than a spree-killer with a hard-on for Jews. Right.

I guess this flock has never heard of the Jews For The Preservation of Firearms Ownership. Seems to me that a faith which teacher the believer to defend oneself should support the position of the JPFO. history is worth teaching and as a reference point.

There was a reason the Nazi's (and many others) banned firearms possessing by the Jews before the holocaust. It made wiping them out that much easier. Fascist regimes are always a big proponent of disarmament of the populace.

I don't care what your faith is, or if you even subscribe to any religious beliefs. Everyone is entitled to the natural right to self defense. No exceptions. Only socialism and fascism tout disarming a populace "for it's own good."
